Vivolta is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that supports her MedTech clients with the development and manufacturing of highly innovative fiber-based implants or components. These activities are not possible without our highly skilled engineering department. Drawing on 15 years of experience , Vivolta has broken new ground in the future of medicine. We have the ambition to professionalize the production of biodegrable implants by developing the MediSpin ™, the world's first automated mass production platform for medical electrospinning. Next to attracting an engineer that has extensive knowledge of both PLC and C#, we also offer a position in which you get the chance to leave the beaten path and experiment on new exciting challenges and create new technology from A to Z. You get the chance to truly pioneer! And besides that you will take a highly complex R&D project to mass production that will directly improves people's lives! Two machines that are now creating 12 products per day will grow towards hundreds of thousands or even millions of products per year per machine. What is medical electrospinning?
The goal of electrospinning is to create structures of polymer fibers from nano- to micrometers in diameter. The polymer is spun from a solvent into a long fiber by means of a high voltage field. The structures created are used for innovative medical applications such as stents, artificial veins and heart valves, but also applications for wound healing, targeted drug delivery and regenerative medicine. A special feature of electrospun fibers is the imitation of the natural environment of cells, which minimizes rejection phenomena and scar tissue formation. These implants also have the special property of allowing the human body to repair itself, because the biodegradable implant is replaced by the body's own cells.
